Cooperation System Launched to Strengthen Export Competitiveness
On April 29, the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation announced that the Organizing Committee for the "1st Korea Export Fair (KICEF 2025)" was launched at its Seoul Regional Headquarters, marking the official start of preparations for the fair aimed at strengthening the export competitiveness of domestic manufacturing companies located in industrial complexes.
The Organizing Committee is led by four co-hosting organizations: Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, Korea Industrial Complex Managers Association, Cheomdan, and the Global Leading Enterprises Association. In addition, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Korea International Trade Association, Korea Federation of Mid-sized Enterprises, and KB Kookmin Bank are participating as partner organizations.
Lee Gyeu, President of the Korea Industrial Complex Managers Association, will serve as the chairperson of the Organizing Committee and oversee the development of the fair's strategies. The committee will be responsible for managing the entire process, from planning the fair to performance management.

View original imageThe "1st Korea Industrial Complex Export Fair" has been designed as a specialized export exhibition tailored for industrial complexes, with the goal of supporting tenant companies in developing overseas markets and enhancing their export competitiveness. The event will be held over three days, from September 10 to 12, at Hall 1 of KINTEX Exhibition Center 1 in Ilsan. The exhibition will feature more than 500 booths from 300 participating companies, showcasing outstanding products and technologies from tenant companies. Approximately 100 overseas buyers will be invited, and one-on-one business meetings will be arranged to provide opportunities for companies to develop new export channels.
Commemorative events for "Industrial Complex Day," a purchasing consultation session, and a global open innovation program will also take place. In addition, seminars, forums, and on-site expert consultations will be organized in cooperation with relevant institutions to provide customized, on-site information for companies facing challenges such as overseas technical regulations, customs procedures, and foreign certifications.

Lee Sanghoon, President of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, stated, "Industrial complexes are the foundation of Korea's manufacturing industry and the backbone of its exports, and they must proactively respond to changes in the global market as sites of innovation."
