View original imageOn April 25, the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced that it had donated 20 million won to the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea to support wildfire damage recovery efforts.
The donation ceremony was attended by Han Sangwon, Chairman of the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Park Cheolhong, Senior Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea, as well as representatives from both organizations.
The donated funds will be used for emergency restoration work, temporary housing support, and the provision of daily necessities to help residents recover their daily lives and stabilize their living conditions in areas of Yeongnam that suffered large-scale wildfire damage in March.
Han Sangwon, Chairman of the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, "I would like to express my deepest condolences to the residents of Yeongnam who lost their homes in the large-scale wildfire," and added, "I sincerely hope they will be able to return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
