Man in His 30s Faces Detention for Weapon Rampage at Mart in Mia-dong, Seoul
A man in his 30s who killed one person with a weapon at a mart in Mia-dong, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, is facing possible detention.
On April 24 at 10:30 a.m., Judge Choi Giwon of the Seoul Northern District Court Criminal Division 10 will conduct a pretrial detention hearing for Mr. A, who is charged with murder.
When Mr. A appeared at court that day, he responded to reporters asking, "Aren't you going to apologize?" by saying, "I am sorry to the victim."
He did not answer questions such as "Why did you wield the weapon?" and "Why did you turn yourself in?"

On April 22 at around 6:20 p.m., Mr. A wielded a weapon at a mart near Mia Station in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, killing a woman in her 60s and injuring a woman in her 40s.
