Korail Gwangju Headquarters to Operate Temporary Honam Line Trains During May Holiday Period
On April 23, Korail Gwangju Headquarters announced that it will operate temporary Honam Line trains during the May holiday period, which is known as Family Month in Korea.
These temporary trains will operate for four days, from May 3 to May 6. The KTX will run one additional round trip between Yongsan Station and Gwangju Songjeong Station on May 5 and 6. The Mugunghwa-ho will operate one additional round trip between Yongsan Station and Gwangju Station each day from May 3 to May 6. The additional operation of these temporary trains is expected to provide more comfortable travel options for rail passengers.
Kim Youngjin, head of Korail Gwangju Headquarters, stated, "The operation of these temporary trains is intended to improve convenience for families, relatives, and travelers during Family Month," adding, "We will continue to provide more convenient transportation services in response to the needs of our rail passengers."
