In March, nine clubs were formed through an initial round of recruitment. This current recruitment targets 99 youth members who will join these existing clubs.
Eligible applicants are young people aged 19 to 39 who either reside or work in Hanam City. Those wishing to participate can apply on a first-come, first-served basis via Naver Form starting at 10:00 a.m. on April 28.
Applicants must submit documents proving their connection to Hanam City, such as a resident registration abstract or a certificate of employment. Applicants can select both a first and second preference club. If not selected for their top choice, they may either not be selected at all or be assigned to their second preference.
Each club will operate from May through November, and the city will provide up to 3.5 million won in operating expenses per club. There will be no separate participation fee for youth members.
The nine clubs include: "Hot Smell," a running-themed club; "Hanam Street," which focuses on bodyweight exercises to improve basic fitness; "Hanam City Youth Volunteer Group Seonyeong," which engages in community service; "Speech Club," offering experiences in vocal training, public speaking, and audiobook production; "Hanam Tennis Nomads," an intermediate tennis exchange group; "Cheondung FS," a women-only futsal club; "Self-Defense Jiu-Jitsu Club," which teaches self-defense and jiu-jitsu; "Soap Chill," combining soap-making with relaxation; and "Haaajak," which creates picture books and merchandise through iPad drawing.
Club activities are designed to go beyond simple hobby gatherings, aiming to help young people learn, grow, build bonds, and form sustainable networks that connect them with the local community. Club orientations will be held from May 8 to 9, and a results-sharing event is planned for the end of the year.
