Chair Suspended from Attendance... Session to Be Led by Vice Chair
The Asan City Council in South Chungcheong Province announced that it will hold its 257th extraordinary session from April 28 to May 2, 2025.
During this session, the council plans to review 30 ordinances, including a complete revision of the Asan City Council Award Ordinance.
Of these, 14 agenda items were proposed by council members, while 16 were submitted by the mayor.
The schedule will begin with a plenary session on April 28, followed by reviews of ordinances by each standing committee on April 29. From April 30 to May 1, council members will conduct on-site visits to major project locations, and the second plenary session will be held on May 2.
Meanwhile, Council Chair Hong Seongpyo received a 30-day suspension of attendance on April 7, 2025, in connection with inappropriate behavior at his alma mater's graduation ceremony earlier this year. As a result, this session will be presided over by Vice Chair Maeng Uiseok.
