and Technology Exchange to Digitalize Korean Medicine
The Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center at Dong-Eui University (Director Seokchan Jung) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Kyunghee University Korean Medicine Digital Convergence Center (Director Ungmo Yang) on April 18 at the Busan Station conference room to collaborate on research and development and technology exchange for the digitalization and convergence of Korean medicine.

View original imageThrough this agreement, the two institutions will cooperate in various fields, including: joint research and development and technology exchange for the digitalization of Korean medicine, joint development of artificial intelligence-based models, fostering outstanding talent in the digital Korean medicine field, and developing and sharing information on industry-academia-linked AI and Korean medicine convergence education programs.
In particular, the two institutions plan to apply the results of their collaboration to clinical practice and treatment by enhancing the precision and efficiency of prediction and diagnosis technologies, based on convergence research that integrates artificial intelligence with objective Korean medicine medical data.
Seokchan Jung, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center, stated, "We expect that the convergence of clinical experience in traditional Korean medicine and artificial intelligence technology will enable the establishment of a new digital healthcare ecosystem, including AI-based diagnostic and prediction systems and smart automated medical interviews." He added, "We will actively pursue convergence research to provide practical benefits to both the medical and industrial fields."
