Gwangmyeong City Seeks New Name for "Carbon Neutrality Point Project"
Name Contest Open Until May 7
Seeking a Simpler and More Intuitive Name for the Climate Volunteer Carbon Neutrality Point Project
"The Carbon Neutrality Point system is difficult." Gwangmyeong City in Gyeonggi Province will hold a public contest for a new name for the "Climate Volunteer Carbon Neutrality Point Project" from April 23 to May 7.
This contest aims to strengthen the symbolism of "Climate Volunteer," a citizen participation climate action initiative, and to increase public interest and participation through a simpler and more intuitive name.
The city is seeking a distinctive project name that can effectively convey the meaning of everyday climate action to prevent global temperature rise. The city will comprehensively evaluate the symbolism, appropriateness, applicability, and creativity of the proposed names. Through the judging process, the city plans to select one Grand Prize (300,000 KRW), one Excellence Prize (200,000 KRW), and one Encouragement Prize (100,000 KRW).
Applications can be submitted by filling out and submitting the online form on Naver Form. The results will be announced next month on the Gwangmyeong City Carbon Neutrality Center website. For more details, refer to the notices section on the Carbon Neutrality Center website or contact the Gwangmyeong City Carbon Neutrality Division.
