Han made these remarks in a congratulatory speech at the 45th Disability Day ceremony held at a hotel in Seoul, emphasizing, "People with and without disabilities must be able to live together as true neighbors in their daily lives."
He stressed, "The Republic of Korea, now ranked among the world's top 10 economies, must become a country where the lives of people with disabilities are peaceful and stable. This is also an essential foundation for achieving national unity."
Han explained, "We expanded the pilot project for the 'Personal Budget System for Persons with Disabilities' from 8 local governments last year to 17 this year. Starting next year, we plan to implement the system nationwide to further broaden the range of service choices, and to increase the types of vouchers that can be used."
