Pocheon City Holds 'Pocheon Citizens' Grand Debate' on Air Force Fighter Jet Friendly Fire Incident
To Be Held at the Convention Hall, 1st Floor of Pocheon Business Center on the 29th

Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 17th that it will hold the "Pocheon Citizens' Grand Debate" at 2 PM on the 29th in the Convention Hall on the 1st floor of the Pocheon Business Center to discuss follow-up measures for the Air Force fighter jet accidental bombing incident that occurred on March 6 and to gather citizens' opinions.
This grand debate was organized to seek urgent solutions such as the "Pocheon Citizens' General Rally to Condemn the Accidental Bombing Incident" held after the accident, measures to prevent recurrence, and compensation for damages.
The event will begin with a screening of a video related to the Air Force fighter jet accidental bombing incident, followed by a keynote speech by Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon City, a presentation by National Assembly member Kim Yong-tae on the status of special legislation at the National Assembly, and then thematic presentations by related experts and an open discussion with citizens, lasting approximately 90 minutes.
Mayor Baek Young-hyun stated, "This debate is an opportunity to directly listen to the strong condemnation of the accidental bombing incident by Pocheon citizens and the difficulties of residents in Idong-myeon, which was declared a special disaster area, and to prepare practical measures. I hope many citizens will attend and share diverse opinions."
