On the 13th, the "2025 Amateur Boxing Tournament and WBF Asian Champion First Title Defense" was held at the Yeonggwang Sportsium National Sports Center in Yeonggwang-gun.
The main highlight of the event was the first title defense match of Lee Woomin (Chae Seunggon KO Boxing Club), the Asian champion from the region. Lee secured a unanimous decision victory with a 3-0 score after a fierce battle that lasted all 10 rounds against his opponent.
Jang Seil, the head of Yeonggwang-gun, stated, "As a member of Yeonggwang-gun, I am overwhelmed with pride and joy that our boxing champion Lee Woomin's first title defense ended in victory.
