On January 1st of this year, he was appointed Deputy Mayor of Gangnam-gu. With a calm personality, Deputy Mayor Kim is considered a specialist in autonomous district deputy mayors, having already served three times as deputy mayor of Gangdong-gu, Seodaemun-gu, and Gangnam-gu.
Based on this experience, after his appointment as Deputy Mayor of Gangnam-gu, he has been working closely with executives such as department heads to realize the pledges and policies of Mayor Cho Seong-myeong of Gangnam-gu, earning positive evaluations. Jeong Heon-jae, Deputy Mayor of Gangseo-gu, graduated from Yonsei University and passed the 35th Administrative Examination. He has served as Director of Citizen Communication, Director of Cultural Policy, Director of Informatization Planning, Deputy Mayor of Gangseo-gu, and Deputy Mayor of Gangnam-gu within the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
Notably, despite having served as Deputy Mayor of Gangseo-gu, Deputy Mayor Jeong was called back to serve again as Deputy Mayor of Gangseo-gu during his tenure as Deputy Mayor of Gangnam-gu, making him unique among 'third-term deputy mayors' for having served twice as Deputy Mayor of Gangseo-gu.
Deputy Mayor Jeong is also recognized for good communication with executives during his tenure in Gangnam-gu. A department head in Gangseo-gu said, "Deputy Mayor Jeong Heon-jae has served twice as Deputy Mayor of Gangseo-gu, so he is well-versed in both the executives and local affairs, making it easy to work with him."
In particular, Deputy Mayor Jeong Heon-jae of Gangseo-gu and Deputy Mayor Kim Jin-man of Gangnam-gu are known to have maintained a good relationship as senior and junior colleagues in the roles of Director of Digital Policy and Director of Finance.
An official from Seoul City said, "Among Seoul city executives, some retire without ever serving as deputy mayor even once, so Deputy Mayor Jeong Heon-jae of Gangseo-gu and Deputy Mayor Kim Jin-man of Gangnam-gu, each having served three terms as deputy mayor, seem to be very fortunate executives."
