A couple in their 40s residing in Jangheung-eup, Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do, has drawn attention after giving birth to their seventh child.
Park Jejeong (45) and Kim Haesuk (40), a couple living in Jangheung-eup, welcomed a healthy seventh daughter weighing 3kg on the 5th. Considering the crisis of population extinction due to the low birth rate, their story has delivered a special sense of inspiration to our society.
Kim Youngrok, Governor of Jeollanam-do, sent a letter stating, "I sincerely congratulate you on the birth of your seventh child. The birth of a new life always brings great joy and hope," and added, "I express my deep respect and gratitude for your dedication in raising your children for a brighter future. We will make various efforts and provide support so that you can live more stably and happily."
Jeollanam-do announced that it would provide childbirth and childcare support to the Park family across nine categories, totaling 79.78 million won.
The support from Jeollanam-do includes: ▲Basic birth allowance (43.2 million won for ages 1-18) ▲First Meeting Voucher (3 million won) ▲Parental allowance (18 million won for ages 0-1) ▲Diapers and formula (2.16 million won) ▲Health management services for mothers and newborns (2.84 million won) ▲Eco-friendly agricultural product package support (480,000 won) ▲Benefits of the multi-child happiness card, and more.
Jangheung-gun will also provide a variety of benefits in five categories, totaling 16.68 million won, including: ▲Childbirth incentive (12 million won) ▲Private postpartum care expenses ▲Congratulatory gifts for the newborn ▲Children's hospital expenses ▲Nutrition Plus food support, and more.
