The inspection will focus on 74 disaster-prone and hazardous facilities, checking the safety of structures such as electrical, gas, fire safety, and industrial safety systems, as well as retaining walls and drainage channels for risks such as collapse, subsidence, and slope instability.
Any issues that can be immediately corrected will be addressed on-site, while critical defects or risk factors will prompt emergency safety measures such as urgent repairs, reinforcement, and restrictions or prohibitions on use.
To encourage resident participation, the county will form a resident evaluation team and have them accompany the inspection teams, allowing residents to be involved throughout the safety inspection process.
A county official stated, "Through this intensive safety inspection of hazardous facilities, we urge residents to actively participate and pay attention to safety inspections by checking for risk factors in their homes and businesses to help prevent accidents."
