View original imageOn the 9th, the city of Gwangju presented an appointment letter to Yeom Gyusong, the 11th Chairman of the Gwangju Credit Guarantee Foundation. His term will last for two years, until April 7, 2027.
Chairman Yeom was vetted for his professional competence and integrity by the Gwangju City Council's Special Personnel Hearing Committee on the 24th of last month, and the personnel hearing report was adopted on the 31st, making his appointment official on this day.
Chairman Yeom began his career at Gwangju Bank in 1995 and has built his expertise in the financial sector for over 30 years. In particular, he is recognized as a field-oriented financial leader who, while serving as a branch manager, closely listened to the voices of local small business owners and companies and provided practical financial support. He also broadened his understanding of the regional industry by serving as a non-executive director at Gwangju Global Motors (GGM).
Lee Sanggap, Deputy Mayor for Culture and Economy, stated, "As the Korean economy enters a prolonged recession and small business owners and SMEs face significant difficulties due to high interest rates and inflation, Yeom Gyusong is a financial expert who truly understands the challenges on the ground and can offer practical solutions.
