KSD Nanum Foundation Donates 33 Million Won to Underprivileged Cultural Groups in Busan
On the 9th, the Korea Securities Depository (KSD) Sharing Foundation announced that it has donated 33 million KRW in sponsorship funds to the Busan branch of the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation to support cultural and artistic event attendance for children and adolescents from culturally marginalized groups in the Busan area.
The KSD Sharing Foundation plans to select 800 children and adolescents who are culturally excluded from experiencing arts through child welfare organizations such as multicultural family support centers, migrant background child support institutions, and child welfare associations in the Busan region, and support their attendance at cultural and artistic events including art exhibitions, musicals, concerts, and local festivals.
Lee Soon-ho, Chairman of the KSD Sharing Foundation, stated, "Through this sponsorship project, we hope to provide children and adolescents from culturally marginalized groups with opportunities to experience and enjoy arts and culture, thereby bridging the cultural gap and contributing to the revitalization of local cultural arts."

In addition to supporting attendance at cultural and artistic events, the KSD Sharing Foundation is conducting various scholarship programs such as selecting scholarship recipients among vulnerable students and performance-linked scholarships for students at specialized high schools. It is also carrying out various social contribution projects including support for vulnerable groups, public interest support projects, and financial education programs.
