Gyeonggi Province will hold the "3rd Gyeonggi Province Climate Change Week" event from the 14th to the 16th at KINTEX in Goyang and Ilsan Culture Square to raise awareness of the seriousness of the climate crisis and to spread a culture of climate action with its residents.

Gyeonggi Province will first host the World Local Governments Climate Summit from the 14th to the 16th at Hall 6B, Exhibition Center 2, KINTEX in Goyang. This climate summit is expected to serve as a forum for discourse on local governments' climate response strategies and promoting voluntary citizen participation this year, when national greenhouse gas reduction targets are being updated under the Paris Agreement.
Mayors and high-level officials from over 50 cities in 34 countries overseas will attend to share excellent policies and technological cases from each city, focusing on five key environmental themes: science-based solutions, citizen participation, climate economy, closing the climate gap, and harmony with nature.
