Namseoul University Completes Maejoo Reservoir Walking Trail
11.8 Billion KRW Invested Through University-Government Collaboration
Namseoul University held a completion ceremony for the Maejoo Reservoir promenade in Seonghwan-eup on the 8th.
This promenade was established to create a multi-purpose leisure space that both university members and local residents can enjoy together, aiming to improve community welfare and living conditions in the area.
The promenade was developed through a university-government collaboration between the university, Cheonan City, and Korea Rural Community Corporation, with a total investment of 1.18 billion KRW since 2023.
The total length is 1,317 meters, consisting of a decked walkway, eco-friendly rest areas, and photo zones.
President Yoon Seungyong said, "The completion of this promenade is a valuable achievement created by the university and the local community," adding, "We will continue to actively seek various ways for the university and the local community to coexist and prosper together."
