The representative product, 'Peacock Choco Protein Granola (350g),' is sold for 8,480 KRW. It contains granola with high protein content and low sugar. 'Peacock Thin Tofu Noodles & Thick Tofu Noodles (100g)' can be purchased for 2,180 KRW. These are high-protein foods that help muscle recovery after running and provide a healthy sense of fullness when craving noodle dishes during dieting. ‘Peacock Protein Oatmeal (500g)’ is sold for 6,180 KRW and can be conveniently soaked in milk or eaten with added fruits, nuts, or honey as a meal replacement.
In addition, products such as 'Low Sugar Pudding (Milk & Belgian Chocolate)' and 'Runners Drink Mix,' which contain less than 5g of sugar, are also available. To reflect runners' preferences and tastes in the products, Peacock’s Chef Kim Hyuntae, an avid runner himself, participated in the development process.
The reason Peacock has strengthened its food lineup for runners is due to the growing consumer interest in health. The domestic runner population is estimated to be about 5 to 6 million. In particular, consumers are increasingly seeking healthy pleasure products that are both delicious and healthy, moving beyond the perception that taste must be sacrificed for health.
In fact, at Emart, sales of alternative sweeteners such as stevia and allulose grew by 22.7% in the first quarter, surpassing sugar sales, which decreased by 13.6%. Additionally, sales of low-sugar biscuits and pies increased by 16.0%, and granola cereals rose by 10%.
Meanwhile, Emart is holding a promotion from the 4th to the 17th, offering a 20% discount on the seven Runday collaboration products when accumulating points with the Shinsegae Point Card.
