The Small Enterprise and Market Service announced on the 8th that it held a meeting at Korea Polytechnics III University Wonju Campus to support entrepreneurship and employment for veterans and active-duty soldiers.

View original imageThis meeting was the sixth regional field visit by Chairman Park Seong-hyo, attended by related personnel including Baek Soon-im, Head of the Gangwon Regional Headquarters, Ji Gyeong-bae, Dean of Korea Polytechnics III University Chuncheon Campus, Lee Hong-gi, Dean of Gangneung Campus, Kwon Min-su, Dean of Wonju Campus, Byeon Hee-won, Director of the Gangwon Veterans Settlement Support Center, and Song Gyeong-seok, Commander of the 13th Mechanized Infantry Brigade of the Army.
Each institution sought ways to share resources and strengthen cooperation for entrepreneurship, employment, and job training for veterans and active-duty soldiers. Korea Polytechnics III University will provide on-site job training and technical education, while the Gangwon Veterans Settlement Support Center will offer employment information and expand customized settlement support programs to provide the technical foundation and effective information necessary for entrepreneurship and employment.
In particular, since the Small Enterprise and Market Service operates comprehensive startup support projects from entrepreneurship education, management consulting, to policy funds for business stabilization, it plans to prepare entrepreneurship and employment linkage programs in connection with these efforts to enhance the job skills of veterans and support various initiatives for the stable social reintegration of active-duty soldiers.
