Man in His 50s Dies at Casper Parts Factory... Serious Accident Investigation Underway
Occurred at a Parts Factory in Jangseong
At around 7:50 a.m. on the 8th, a worker in his 50s, identified as A, died after part of his body became trapped in an injection molding machine at an auto parts manufacturing plant in Hwangryong-myeon, Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do.
A coworker discovered the scene immediately after the accident and reported it to emergency services. A was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest but was ultimately pronounced dead.
The plant is identified as a partner company supplying parts such as grilles for the Casper vehicle to Gwangju Global Motors (GGM).
The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident, including whether safety regulations were followed and the possibility of a violation of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.
