Gwangju Veterans Affairs Office Holds Event to Mark 80th Anniversary of Liberation

View original imageThe Gwangju Regional Veterans Affairs Office announced on the 7th that it held a variety of events, including the 11th Naju Yeongsangang Marathon hosted by MDSNC, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day on the 6th.
During this marathon, special gifts were given to the "815th special finishers" in each section by the All Veterans Honors Club members, and promotional booths for "All Veterans" were also operated.
The event also promoted "All Veterans Dream," a donation project for all citizens organized by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, and distributed "Liberation Army Signature Taegeukgi" flags, providing various opportunities for participants to honor the spirit of the Liberation Army who dedicated themselves to Korea's independence and to directly participate in veterans culture.
Kim Seokgi, head of the Gwangju Regional Veterans Affairs Office, stated, "Commemorating the 80th anniversary of Liberation, I am honored that we were able to practice 'living veterans appreciation in daily life' through this marathon," and added, "The Gwangju Veterans Affairs Office will continue to remember the sacrifices of those who dedicated themselves to Korea's independence and to carry on their spirit by promoting a variety of commemorative events."
