He urged officials to meticulously oversee the detailed implementation plans for the five key pledges aimed at achieving "A Greater Damyang Leaping Forward Through Innovation, A Happier Damyang Through Communication and Harmony."
Governor Jeong expressed his gratitude to public officials for their efforts in ensuring the safe completion of election duties and the 10th Chuwolsan Cherry Blossom Festival, which was held over the weekend.
He stated, "I will not be a governor who rules over the people, but one who walks together with the residents," and emphasized, "Please approach county administration with a proactive and active attitude to ensure that the five key pledges promised to the residents are implemented effectively."
He also called for thorough preparations, including facility inspections and program improvements, for the successful hosting of the 24th Damyang Bamboo Festival scheduled for May 2-6, and requested the expansion of diverse content so that it becomes an event where visitors want to stay longer.
He added, "As wildfires are occurring simultaneously due to the recent prolonged dry weather and strong winds, please make every effort to crack down on illegal agricultural burning and manage the safety of fire-prone facilities. Also, with the surge in tourists, focus on environmental maintenance of major tourist sites, facility management to prevent accidents, and the strict establishment of public service discipline."
Governor Jeong further stated, "Difficulties in the local economy are intensifying due to various factors, including the unstable political situation and international affairs. Please concentrate your efforts on helping residents recover their daily lives and minimizing economic shocks."
