Focused Promotion on Hiking Trails with the Autonomous Disaster Prevention Corps
Gwangsan-gu in Gwangju announced on the 7th that it had conducted a joint public-private campaign with the local Autonomous Disaster Prevention Corps to prevent forest fires during the spring season.

View original imageA total of 45 participants, including Gwangsan-gu Office officials and members of the disaster prevention corps, took part in the campaign. They distributed promotional materials at the entrances to major hiking trails and areas adjacent to forests, and informed citizens about the prohibition of carrying flammable materials and how to report forest fires.
Gwangsan-gu continues to conduct regular preventive activities during the spring and fall, when the risk of forest fires is high, and plans to strengthen the local safety network through a swift response system in case of emergencies. Park Byeonggyu, Mayor of Gwangsan-gu, stated, "Prevention is more important than anything else," and added, "We will work with the local Autonomous Disaster Prevention Corps to make Gwangsan a safer place from disasters."
