This training was conducted by President Cho Ikmun for department heads, team leaders, and on-site supervisors, emphasizing the importance of on-site safety management through major accident cases that occur in the workplace. He also urged the discovery of proactive measures to reduce risk factors, such as thorough safety inspection meetings (TBM: Tool Box Meeting) before starting work.
'Risk assessment' is a series of processes that proactively identify and improve all risk factors, including chemicals used in the workplace, and is a key means of preventing industrial accidents. The corporation plans to make company-wide efforts to prevent serious accidents through thorough safety management across all processes related to urban railway operations, such as rolling stock maintenance and facility management.
Last year, the corporation was recognized for its excellence in proactive safety management by being the first among national railway operating agencies to receive the Minister of Employment and Labor Award at the '2024 Risk Assessment Best Practices Presentation'.
President Cho Ikmun said, "We are doing our best to proactively and systematically eliminate risk factors to prevent serious accidents," and added, "We will continue to thoroughly manage safety to provide the best transportation service."
