Gyeonggi-do Provides Up to 5 Million Won Support for Housing Renovation to Households with Poor Living Conditions
Gyeonggi Province has selected 309 households as recipients of this year’s ‘Haetsal Housing’ project.
Haetsal Housing is a project that supports energy-efficient home renovations and residential environment improvements for households with poor basic housing performance, such as airtight windows and doors, enhanced insulation, replacement of old boilers, and installation of heating and cooling systems.
Gyeonggi Province is implementing the project through a commission to Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH), and has improved the residential environment of 3,730 households from 2013 to last year.

Customized home renovation services will be provided within a maximum limit of 5 million KRW per household. The number of selected households this year increased by 13 compared to 296 households last year.

Lee Eun-seon, Director of the Housing Policy Division of Gyeonggi Province, said, "As the climate crisis intensifies, the energy cost burden and health risks for low-income households living in poorly performing homes are increasing. Haetsal Housing is a project that strengthens the housing safety net for low-income households through practical support such as insulation improvement and window replacement. We will continue to promote residential welfare and energy welfare in cooperation with Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation."
