Joins in Supporting Recovery Efforts and Comforting Disaster Victims
On the 3rd, Lee Dong-hwan, Mayor of Goyang Special City, visited Yeongdeok-gun, which recently suffered significant damage from a large wildfire, to comfort the disaster victims and deliver relief supplies.

View original imageAt the temporary shelter for disaster victims set up at Yeongdeok National Sports Center, Mayor Lee Dong-hwan offered warm words of consolation to residents who had to leave their homes due to the wildfire damage.
He also visited the relief supply reception center established at Yeongdeok-gun Citizen Stadium and delivered supplies prepared together with the Goyang Volunteer Center and the Goyang Agricultural, Livestock, and Floriculture Cooperative (8 cooperatives - Byeokje Nonghyup, Songpo Nonghyup, Sindo Nonghyup, Wondang Nonghyup, Ilsan Nonghyup, Jido Nonghyup, Goyang Livestock Nonghyup, Korea Floriculture Nonghyup).
The relief supplies included emergency food worth approximately 5 million KRW and 800 bags of Goyang rice worth approximately 16 million KRW.
Mayor Lee Dong-hwan stated, “I came all the way to Yeongdeok to offer even a small support to the residents of Yeongdeok-gun who are exhausted from living in the shelter for several days,” adding, “I hope the relief supplies will help the affected residents in their daily lives, even if just a little.”
