Various Science Experience Events Held for Science Month
Some Programs Adjusted Due to Large-Scale Wildfires
Gumi Science Museum in North Gyeongsang Province will hold the "Gumiga Ddaenggineun Science Festival" with citizens in celebration of Science Month on the 5th. This event is organized as a hands-on program that the whole family can participate in, and last year, it attracted great interest with around 900 visitors.
Main programs include: ▲ the science musical "Let's Go to Space," which expresses astronaut training and space launch vehicles through a musical performance ▲ science experience booths where various crafts and hands-on activities can be enjoyed ▲ a stamp tour where participants complete missions throughout the museum ▲ free experience activities such as "Endangered Animals Origami" and "Space Scratch Paper."
Lee Donghyeong, Director of Gumi Science Museum, said, "We empathize with the pain of the people due to the recent large-scale wildfires, so we have adjusted some of the programs," and added, "We hope that those affected can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
Kim Jangho, Mayor of Gumi, stated, "I hope this event will spark children's and youths' interest in science and provide an opportunity to foster creativity," and continued, "We will actively support Gumi Science Museum so that it can continue to become a space for citizens through various science culture programs."
Detailed information about the event can be found on the official website of Gumi Science Museum.
