Guri-si Leads Efforts to Eliminate Welfare Blind Spots Through Administrative Data Analysis
Full-Scale Implementation of the ‘Safe and Reliable, Customized e-Welfare Notification Talk’
Guri City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 3rd that it will launch the ‘Safe and Reliable, Customized e-Welfare Notification Talk’ from April, which analyzes administrative data to identify households missing out on welfare services and provides them with tailored welfare application guidance.
This project was planned to provide customized welfare information to welfare blind spots who have been struggling due to lack of information despite the operation of various welfare services.
The city has established a proactive welfare information support system that predicts and discovers not only households missing services through administrative data (Happiness e-Eum) analysis but also households likely to be newly selected. It is expected to greatly help eliminate welfare blind spots by guiding selected households with information through ‘Customized e-Welfare Notification Talk’ and supporting them with a one-stop process from application to selection.
Citizens who received the notification talk said, “I didn’t know if I was eligible for welfare benefits, but after receiving this notification talk, I was able to apply in time, which greatly helped my life,” and “I am grateful to Guri City for giving a ray of hope in a hard life.”
