View original imageTo celebrate Family Month, the Seoul Metropolitan Government is hosting a unique marathon event where strollers and families run together along Cheonggyecheon Stream and Seoul Plaza.
The '2025 Seoul Yooacha Run' held on the 3rd of next month is different from other marathons in that it allows families with infants and toddlers (under 48 months) accompanied by strollers to participate.
The course starts at Gwanghwamun Square, passes Jonggak Station, Cheonggyecheon, and the Cheonggye 5-ga intersection turnaround point, and continues to Seoul Plaza. It is a 5 km section that even beginners can complete without difficulty. Singer Sean, who has been actively involved in charity activities through marathons, and running evangelist An Jung-eun will participate as ambassadors and run together with the participants.
Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis from April 3 to 23. Of the 30,000 KRW participation fee per family, a portion will be donated to support children with disabilities and their families. Participants will start in two groups: the fast-running "Rabbit Group" and the slow-walking "Turtle Group." Safety personnel will be stationed at key points along the course to prevent accidents caused by crowd congestion. The Rabbit Group allows participation by one parent and one infant/toddler only, while the Turtle Group permits the entire family to join.
