Enhancing Market Competitiveness of Senior Job Project Operators
Sancheong County in Gyeongnam Province announced on the 3rd that it has been selected for the 'Gyeongnam Province New Senior Business Development Support Project' public offering.
This project was established to expand stable job opportunities for seniors and to enhance the market competitiveness of senior job project operators. The project will be carried out by the Sancheong Senior Club, a senior job implementing organization, through a contract with a franchise company.
As part of the project, the second Gim Gui branch will be opened at the Dange Market, where seniors will sell roasted seaweed made from high-quality seasoned seaweed ingredients. Previously, in November 2023, Sancheong County opened the first Gim Gui branch at the Sancheong Market.
County Governor Lee Seunghwa stated, "We will continue to do our best to discover job opportunities so that seniors can find fulfillment in life, contribute to the local community, and take pride in themselves."
Meanwhile, Sancheong County is promoting the senior job project this year with a budget of 7.3 billion KRW, an increase of 700 million KRW compared to last year. The number of participants has also increased by 170 from last year, reaching a total of 1,750 people.
