Putin Has No Plans to Visit Saudi Arabia... Trump's Visit Unrelated to Putin
The Kremlin in Russia announced on the 2nd (local time) that President Vladimir Putin has no plans to visit Saudi Arabia in the near future. It also explained that U.S. President Donald Trump's visit to Saudi Arabia has nothing to do with President Putin.
According to Yonhap News and major foreign media, Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, said at a briefing that in response to related questions, "That (President Trump's visit to Saudi Arabia) is purely the plan of the U.S. president and has nothing to do with President Putin," adding, "President Putin does not have any plans (to visit Saudi Arabia) yet."
President Trump is reported to visit Saudi Arabia next month. Saudi Arabia has been identified as a possible location for a U.S.-Russia summit, drawing attention.
However, spokesperson Peskov denied, saying, "There is no clear agreement yet on the date and time of a meeting between President Putin and President Trump, and we cannot provide any specific information." Nevertheless, he left room for possibility by stating, "We are continuing discussions with the U.S. through various channels."
