April 2 Damyang County By-election in Jeonnam Records 61.8% Voter Turnout
'Basic Council Member' Turnout: 15.5% in Gwangyang, 63.8% in Goheung
The voter turnout for the Damyang County governor by-election in Jeonnam, held on the 2nd, recorded a provisional rate of 61.8%.
According to the election statistics system of the National Election Commission, 24,969 out of 40,394 eligible voters participated in the Damyang County governor by-election as of 8 p.m. on this day, resulting in a turnout of 61.8%.
This Damyang County governor by-election was a two-way race between Lee Jaejong of the Democratic Party of Korea and Jung Chulwon of the National Innovation Party.
The voter turnout for the basic council member election in the Naseon district of Goheung, Jeonnam, was provisionally tallied at 63.8%, with 6,179 out of 9,678 eligible voters participating.
In the Daseon district of Gwangyang, Jeonnam, 4,784 out of 30,960 eligible voters participated, resulting in a turnout of 15.5%.
