The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 2nd that it will pursue certification for the international standard Anti-Bribery Management System (ISO 37001) to further strengthen its internal anti-corruption framework.
The 'Anti-Bribery Management System' is an international standard certification system designed to identify potential corruption risks within an organization in advance and manage them systematically. Through the implementation of this system, the Office of Education aims to enhance transparent administration, increase internal and external trust, and establish a culture of integrity within the organization.

View original imageTo this end, the Office of Education held a project briefing session at the Jeonnam Education Research and Information Institute on the same day. The session provided information on the direction, procedures, and expected outcomes of pursuing ISO 37001 certification.
The project will proceed in three phases. In the first phase, preparations for certification will take place over approximately four months, including ▲ISO requirements training ▲identification of corruption risks ▲preparation of standard documents ▲internal audits. In the second phase, the organization will undergo document and on-site audits to obtain certification. The third phase involves maintaining the anti-bribery system for three years after certification through ▲continuous post-management ▲regular renewal audits.
Through this certification initiative, the Office of Education plans to systematically establish a corruption prevention system and create a sustainable environment of integrity in education. It also expects to enhance the sense of pride in integrity among members of the educational community.
Kim Jae-gi, Director of Audit, stated, "We will do our utmost to establish a preemptive anti-corruption system by obtaining Anti-Bribery Management System certification and to realize a trustworthy educational administration."
