The ordinance proposed at the forum stipulates that three or more cities or counties in the province will develop experiential programs linking their respective tourism resources, festivals, and events, and that administrative and financial support will be provided to vitalize win-win tourism, thereby promoting the inflow of living population to Jeonnam.
The participants shared the strengths and effects of win-win tourism through the Ganghaeyoung project, which links three cities and counties in the province, and engaged in in-depth discussions on various development strategies such as phased implementation strategies for win-win tourism, establishing interregional tourism cooperation governance, developing linked tourism content, and designating tourism hub cities.
Chairperson Kim stated, "To effectively respond to the decline in resident population and the stagnation of the local economy, it is essential to attract living population by systematically connecting Jeollanam-do's abundant tourism resources through win-win tourism. We will enact an ordinance to support this, revitalize the local economy, and overcome regional extinction by boosting local vitality."
