Members of the Administrative Welfare Committee of Hongseong County Council are receiving an explanation about the operational status at the National Goesan Memorial Cemetery.
View original imageThe Administrative Welfare Committee of the Hongseong County Council in South Chungcheong Province announced that it conducted a two-day benchmarking visit from May 31 to June 1 to key welfare, education, and veterans facilities in Jincheon, Danyang, and Goesan in North Chungcheong Province.
The committee visited Chungbuk Physical Education Middle School in Jincheon to study cases of sports school operations, and collected reference materials for future policy development, such as examples of K-digital transformation, during their visit to Pops World in Danyang.
In particular, at Goesan National Cemetery, the committee met with the director and on-site officials to hear explanations about the process of establishing the national cemetery, strategies for attracting it, and its current operations. They also exchanged opinions on the ripple effects and expected benefits for the local community.
Yoon Ilsun, Chairperson of the Administrative Welfare Committee, stated in a five-minute free speech during the 308th temporary session, "It is absolutely necessary to attract a national cemetery to Hongseong, the land of loyalty and patriotism," emphasizing the justification for its establishment based on historical significance and location conditions.
