The Busan Ulsan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service (Director Cho Junhee) held a meeting on the 2nd to appoint new claim counseling volunteers for this year and to support the smooth processing of benefit claims by long-term care institutions.

View original imageThe claim counseling volunteer system, which has been in operation for 14 years since 2012, selects long-term care institution staff who have extensive knowledge and experience in claims processing and a strong spirit of volunteerism. These volunteers provide counseling support in the form of volunteer service to other institutions experiencing difficulties with claims processing.
A total of 90 claim counseling volunteers are active within the Busan Ulsan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters, finding fulfillment in sharing their knowledge and actively participating in counseling activities.
According to a 2024 survey, 92.4% of respondents expressed satisfaction with the counseling content. Additionally, 96.6% of the claim counseling volunteers reported feeling satisfied with their activities and found it rewarding to share their expertise.
Director Cho Junhee stated, "We expect claim counseling volunteers to play a strong supporting role in establishing a sound claims culture and developing the system," and added, "As an insurer, we will foster mutual cooperation with a spirit of communication and consideration, so that claim counseling volunteers can take pride in their activities."
