Ryu Jin, Chairman of Poongsan Corporation, visited the Gyeongbuk Provincial Government Office on the 1st and delivered a donation of 1 billion KRW for the restoration of large-scale wildfire damages, with Gyeongbuk Governor Lee Cheolwoo and other officials in attendance.
On this day, Chairman Ryu donated a total of 1 billion KRW?500 million KRW on behalf of Poongsan Group and 500 million KRW as a personal contribution.

Poongsan Corporation was founded in October 1968 and has about 5,000 employees. Ryu Jin (67), a native of Andong, serves as CEO and Chairman. The company specializes in non-ferrous metals and defense industries, with annual sales exceeding 3.5 trillion KRW.
Ryu Jin, Chairman of Poongsan, stated, "I would like to express my deepest condolences to the victims and their families affected by the worst wildfire in history. I hope this contribution will provide some support for the local residents as they work to regain stability."
Lee Cheolwoo, Governor of Gyeongbuk, said, "Many people are offering both material and emotional support for the wildfire victims. We will mobilize all administrative resources to help residents return to their daily lives as quickly as possible."
