According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration, the area will be affected by a trough passing to the north until the morning, but will gradually come under the influence of the edge of a high-pressure system over the West Sea, resulting in mostly cloudy skies or occasional cloudiness.
Morning lows are expected to be 3 degrees Celsius in Gokseong and Haenam, 4 degrees in Suncheon, Boseong, and Gurye, 5 degrees in Naju, Jangseong, and Damyang, and 6 degrees in Gwangju, Mokpo, and Yeosu, which is higher than the previous day. Daytime highs are forecast to reach around 17 degrees in Suncheon, Boseong, and Yeosu, 16 degrees in Gwangju, Naju, Damyang, and Jangseong, and about 15 degrees in Mokpo, Haenam, and Muan.
Waves in the West and South Sea coastal waters will be calm, ranging from 0.5 to 1.0 meters. Fine and ultrafine dust concentrations are expected to remain at 'moderate' levels.
A Gwangju Meteorological Administration official stated, "Temperatures are expected to remain similar to the seasonal average for the time being, but there is a significant risk of crop damage due to frost and temperature fluctuations, especially in inland areas. Caution is advised against fires and cold damage."
