AWS Launches Marketplace Service in Korea to Support Domestic Companies' Global Expansion
Domestic SW and SI Companies Can Sell Solutions on AWS Marketplace
Available to Customers Worldwide
Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced on the 2nd that it is expanding the AWS Marketplace service to South Korea.
Through this expansion, domestic independent software vendors (ISVs), resellers, and system integrators (SIs) can directly sell their solutions to customers worldwide via the AWS Marketplace.
AWS Marketplace is an online marketplace where software (SW), services, and data solutions can be bought and sold. Domestic companies can register products such as software on the AWS Marketplace. Pricing can be set by the vendors based on usage or subscription period, and customers purchasing these products can choose to pay in either Korean won or US dollars.
AWS explained that the expansion of the Marketplace to Korea is intended to help domestic companies utilize it as a business channel.
With this expansion, solutions from major domestic software companies such as Neosapience, Saltlux, and Superb AI have been registered on the AWS Marketplace. Channel partners including LG CNS, Megazone Cloud, and SK C&C can also provide software and services by utilizing the AWS Marketplace Channel Partner Private Offer (CPPO) program.
Currently, more than 5,000 sellers are offering over 20,000 solutions on the AWS Marketplace. According to a Forrester Consulting survey, AWS Marketplace sellers have seen an average transaction size increase of 80%.
Matt Yanchisin, Vice President of AWS Marketplace and Partner Services, said, "AWS Marketplace continues to expand globally, providing technology companies with new opportunities to connect with customers worldwide," adding, "Through the expansion in Korea, we hope domestic ISVs and channel partners can offer their solutions to global customers, grow their businesses, and accelerate innovation."
