Last Year, 1,911 Traffic Violations Detected by Undercover Patrols in Chungnam... Seatbelt Non-Use Up 535.3%
The Chungnam Provincial Police Agency announced on the 2nd that it detected 1,911 cases of traffic law violations last year through undercover patrol vehicles.
According to the police, 360 cases of signal violations were detected, marking a 114% increase compared to the previous year, while 1,358 cases of speeding violations were recorded, up 3.6%.
Additionally, cases of not wearing seat belts increased by 535.3% year-on-year, totaling 108 cases.
A police official stated, "As a result of actively operating undercover patrol vehicles even during early morning and nighttime hours, taking into account local traffic accident trends and the atmosphere of compliance with traffic laws," and added, "We will focus on intensively cracking down on the most frequent violations by expanding the installation of onboard enforcement cameras."
