HVDC is a technology that enables efficient transmission of large-capacity power over long distances. It is gaining attention as a key infrastructure for offshore wind power and inter-country power grid connection projects. In particular, HVDC cables are custom-made products designed according to customer requirements, making quality and performance testing essential for each project. The demand for international certification testing is also rapidly increasing, and securing stable testing facilities is emerging as a key factor in competitive bidding.
An LS Cable & System official stated, "We have established a foundation to reliably respond to the increasing testing demand driven by global order expansion," adding, "We expect this to give momentum to the K-Grid export strategy."
