Dongdaemun-gu and Cheongnyangni Management Station Sign Agreement for Elevated Plaza Utilization
Establishing a Cooperative System to Revitalize Welfare, Economy, and Culture Centered on Cheongnyangni Station
Full-Scale Launch of Resident-Participatory Events Starting with the "Warm Companionship Festival" in April
Dongdaemun-gu (District Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) signed a business agreement on March 31 with Cheongnyangni Station Management Office of Korea Railroad Corporation's Seoul Metropolitan Eastern Headquarters (Station Manager Han Seung-il) regarding the utilization of Cheongnyangni Station and the elevated plaza.
This agreement aims to establish a cooperative system for revitalizing welfare, economy, and culture centered around Cheongnyangni Station, the transportation hub of northeastern Seoul. Through this agreement, both organizations will promote various events for local residents by utilizing the elevated plaza of Cheongnyangni Station.
By sharing the elevated plaza with the local community, they plan to explore programs that not only offer experience-centered cultural and welfare events but also invigorate the local economy.
The first event will be the "Warm Companionship Festival" held on April 25 in celebration of "Disability Day." This festival will feature recreational activities enjoyed by both disabled and non-disabled participants, the Cheongnyangni Runway, and a magic bubble show.
Han Seung-il, Station Manager of Cheongnyangni Management Office, expressed, "We hope to carry out various social contribution activities that benefit the local community through this cooperation," and promised continuous collaboration.
