According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration, due to the influence of high pressure over the West Sea, the sky will be clear, but in many areas, morning temperatures will drop below freezing. In particular, frost or ice is expected in inland areas of Gwangju and Jeonnam.
Morning lows are expected to be -1 degree Celsius in Gokseong, Hwasun, Jangseong, and Yeongam; 0 degrees in Damyang, Naju, Hampyeong, and Gurye; 1 degree in Gwangju, Mokpo, Muan, Haenam, and Suncheon; 3 degrees in Yeosu and Goheung; and 4 to 5 degrees in Wando, Gangjin, Gwangyang, and Jindo.
Daytime highs are expected to reach 18 degrees Celsius in Gurye, Gwangyang, Yeosu, and Suncheon; 16 to 17 degrees in Gwangju, Hwasun, Naju, Mokpo, Jangheung, Haenam, Gangjin, and Goheung; 15 degrees in Damyang, Yeonggwang, Muan, and Shinan; and 14 degrees in Hampyeong, Jangseong, Wando, and Jindo.
Waves in the West Sea will range from 0.5 to 1.5 meters, and in the South Sea from 0.5 to 1.0 meters. Fine and ultrafine dust levels are expected to remain at 'normal' levels.
An official from the Gwangju Meteorological Administration said, "Despite the clear weather, large temperature swings, dry air, and the risk of cold damage due to frost may persist. Please pay attention to crop management, health, and fire prevention."
