"Campbell-Walsh-Wein Urology" is recognized worldwide as the most authoritative and comprehensive textbook in the field of urology.
Professor Hwang contributed to the compilation as an author of the kidney cancer section, his area of expertise. Based on his research and clinical experience, he referenced imaging and pathology data from Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital patients with the assistance of Professor Heo Sookhee from the Department of Radiology and Professor Kim Seongsun from the Department of Pathology. In September last year, he also participated as an author of the kidney cancer section in the Korean-language urology textbook published by the Korean Urological Association.
To date, Professor Hwang has published more than 200 SCI-indexed international journal articles related to urologic oncology, drawing attention for his active research and writing. He is also a founding member of the Korea GRADE Network and the Korean Society of Evidence-Based Medicine, contributing to the dissemination of evidence-based medicine.
Notably, last year his research paper on the "Effect of Testosterone Replacement Therapy in Male Sexual Dysfunction Patients" was featured in a leading international journal of evidence-based medicine, and he was selected as one of the "People Who Make Korea Shine" by the POSTECH Biological Research Information Center (BRIC).
