View original imageOn the 28th, Hwaseong City held a progress briefing for the '15th Hwaseong Boat Play Festival' at Jeongok Port, attended by related organizations such as Hwaseong Western Police Station, Hwaseong Urban Corporation, Hwaseong Volunteer Center, private patrol teams, residents of Jeongok and Jeburi, and the Shipowners Association, the city announced on the 31st.
The Hwaseong Boat Play Festival is a representative spring festival of the city, scheduled to be held for three days from May 30 to June 1 around Jeongok Port. This event is a prominent marine tourism festival selected as a 'Korea Cultural Tourism Festival' by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Under the slogan "LET’S S.E.A in Hwaseong," this year’s festival will feature various events including boarding and marine experience programs, and cultural and artistic performances. The city plans to especially expand resident participation through collaboration with local businesses to serve as a catalyst for revitalizing the regional economy.
For pre-festival promotion, the city will hold a 'Hwaseong Boat Play Festival Preview' event at the '12th Bungeoje' held at Gungpyeong Port on the 5th of next month and at the '26th Hwaseong Hyo Marathon' on May 10.
