Gyeonggi Province Water Resources Headquarters Supports 12 Nonprofit Private Organizations for Water Environment to Preserve Water Quality
The Gyeonggi Province Water Resources Headquarters has selected subcontractors for this year's 'Water Environment Private Organization Support Project' and will begin activities aimed at improving the water quality of rivers in the province and preserving aquatic ecosystems.
The supported projects include ▲'Water Environment Education for Future Generations,' which provides water environment education to children and adolescents ▲'Issue-Resolving Water Environment Governance Operation,' which discovers and seeks solutions to local river water environment issues through private-led governance ▲'Paldang Water System River Cleanup Support Project,' which conducts river cleanup activities within the Paldang Special Measures Area.
This year, Gyeonggi Province will provide 40 million KRW to two organizations for 'Water Environment Education for Future Generations,' 50 million KRW to two organizations for 'Issue-Resolving Water Environment Governance Operation,' and 140 million KRW to eight organizations for the 'Paldang Water System River Cleanup Support Project,' totaling 230 million KRW to 12 environmental-related non-profit private organizations.

Yoon Deok-hee, head of the Gyeonggi Province Water Resources Headquarters, stated, "We will take the lead in creating a clean and sustainable water environment through the Water Environment Private Organization Support Project, which involves direct participation from residents."
