Shilla University Graduate School of Social Welfare Offers Special Scholarships from Alumni to Undergraduates

View original imageOn the 27th, graduates of the doctoral program at Silla University Graduate School of Social Welfare, including Kim Maehwa, Kim Minjung, Kim Jeongsuk, Park Mihui, Song Hyewon, Ahn Junhyeong, Lee Geumju, Lee Myeongja, Lee Mihui, Lee Seonghwan, Heo Youngju, and Hong Kyeongae, donated a special scholarship to encourage and support undergraduate students in the Department of Social Welfare.
The graduates, who worked as social workers in the field while pursuing their studies in graduate school, expressed their gratitude through this scholarship. They said that participating in various programs run by the Graduate School and Department of Social Welfare?not only classes, but also domestic and international field trips, academic conferences, and professional study groups?helped them enhance their expertise and apply the latest theories in practice.
Lee Mihui, a graduate who delivered the special scholarship to her juniors, said, "Although it is not a large amount, I hope it will provide a small but meaningful support to aspiring social workers who seek to help the socially disadvantaged through professional skills, giving them warmth, courage, and the capacity to grow," sending a message of encouragement and support.
Choi Miseon, head professor of the Silla University Graduate School of Social Welfare, expressed deep gratitude for the graduates' valuable intentions, stating, "We will continue to uphold the traditions of the Department of Social Welfare by hosting professional academic conferences, providing new social welfare training, and conducting research on transitional social welfare issues and policy tasks. We aim to develop not only as a specialized educational institution for social welfare, but also as a department and graduate school that contributes to the local community."
