Osan-si "Tools Available for Rent at Administrative Welfare Centers"
Free Tool Rental Service to Expand to Eight Administrative Welfare Centers
Osan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 28th that it will expand the free tool rental service project, '1472 Salpyeo Dream,' to frontline administrative welfare centers starting from the 31st.
The free tool rental project lends household tools that are necessary but difficult to purchase due to their high cost. The city currently lends about 31 types of tools needed for daily life, including household tool sets, cordless drills, and ladders.
Until now, the free tool rental service was only operated by the 'Osan Regional Self-Support Center 1472 Project Team,' which raised concerns about low accessibility for citizens. The city decided to increase usage by expanding the project base to eight administrative welfare centers within the jurisdiction. The city also plans to diversify the rental tool items and simplify the rental procedures.
To revitalize the '1472 Salpyeo Dream Project,' the city will conduct biannual inspections and maintenance of seasonal essential devices such as heating and cooling systems at senior centers within the jurisdiction.
