Official Events of Pohang Homiban-do Canola Flower Festival Canceled... Best Efforts to Ensure Visitor Convenience
Official Events Canceled Due to Wildfire Damage
Experience Booths, Agricultural Product Sales, and Food Stalls Using Landscape Crops to Operate as Planned
Pohang City has canceled the official events of the 2025 Homiban-do Canola Flower Festival, which were scheduled to be held at the Homigot Sunrise Plaza for two days from April 5 to 6, due to the large-scale damage caused by the wildfire that broke out in Uiseong on the 22nd.
However, the city announced that while the official events are canceled, the festival will still be held in a reduced format, providing convenience for citizens and tourists visiting Homigot to see the canola flowers and operating a minimal number of experience booths.
The canola flower fields will be open as usual, and in order to allow visitors to fully enjoy the spring atmosphere and experience healing for both body and mind, experience booths, agricultural product sales, and food booths selling dishes made with landscape crops such as buckwheat noodles will be operated as planned.
A Pohang City official said, "Although the opening ceremony has been canceled, we hope many people will visit to walk through the canola flower fields, enjoy the beauty of nature, and take the opportunity to enjoy local agricultural products."
